Remembering Bill

William “Bill” Holayter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a quietly extraordinary man. Born in 1931 in East Chicago, Indiana, Bill brought kindness, integrity, and thoughtfulness to every role he held—in his family and in the world. After serving in the Navy, he became a journeyman machinist and rose through the ranks of the IAM, eventually becoming its Legislative and Political Director. But his greatest legacy lives in the lives he touched—with loyalty, wisdom, dry wit, and the steady love that shaped generations.

Love you always and miss you so much.”
